Interiors

The new 2013 Volkswagen CC is spacious and luxurious from inside. A three-seat rear bench has been added to make the coupe comfortable for five passengers. The seats have been designed ergonomically for long trips and equipped with integrated massage function. Also, the car will offer a new option of brown interiors including the dashboard which appears in tune with the leather seats and reconfigured wood accents.

Exteriors

The main bodywork of the 2013 Volkswagen CC is almost same as the earlier version. However, the new headlights and front and rear styling brings it closer to other cars of the Volkswagen family. The front end of the car features a chrome grill, new bumper and new headlamps with LED daytime running lights. The rear end also has LED tail lamps and new design for the boot and the bumper.

Inside, VW's designers tinkered around with the air-conditioning controls and trim options while the company says it has improved the standard features across the range with the addition of a fatigue detection system, new audio, stainless steel door sills and safety head restraints with additional longitudinal adjustment for the front seats.

For the 2013 model year, there is also a new batch of available assistance systems such as the Side Assist Plus with integrated Lane Assist that warns of vehicles in blind spots and assists driver in avoiding an accident by steering intervention, Dynamic Light Assist and a camera-based traffic sign detection system.
In the USA, the CC will launch with the same engine lineup as before, including a 200HP 2.0-liter TSI petrol and a 280HP 3.6-liter V FSI petrols (FSI).

There are no changes to the European lineup either, with the CC being offered with several TSI petrol and TDI diesel engines ranging in output from 140HP to 300HP. The most fuel-efficient version is powered by the 140HP 2.0 TDI that delivers a combined fuel consumption of 4.7lt/100km (equal to 50mpg US).

2012 Brabus Mercedes-Benz SLK-Class

Timeless aesthetics embodies hallmark sports-car sensuality

The designers have tailor-made a body for the new SLK which emphasises its classic roadster proportions and puts them in the spotlight to thrilling effect. Behind the long bonnet is a compact passenger compartment positioned far back, and a short tail end. The Mercedes-Benz SLK will tempt potential customers with the key attributes that characterise all the classic roadsters from Mercedes-Benz and that have also made many of them automotive icons of the brand.

The first feature to catch the eye is an upright radiator grille that stands proud and confident in the wind and bears the new Mercedes-Benz brand look. It facilitates the long and well-proportioned bonnet and with its rearward light-catching contours it already hints at the roadster's dynamic qualities. The wide radiator grille bears the Mercedes-Benz star in a prominent central position and displays a powerfully contoured fin, chromed at the front. The clearly defined headlamps complete the look for the new SLK's face, which resembles that of the legendary 190 SL from the 1950s, which is regarded by many as being the original "SLK". But it was certainly not just the past that the designers were focusing on; with the new SLK's front end they also intentionally created a close visual link with the new Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG "gullwing model" and the new CLS.

Brabus now offers an extensive customization program for the new Mercedes-Benz SLK-Class.The attached photos show the roadster equipped with Brabus Monoblock F wheels painted the new exclusive ‘Liquid Titanium’ color. They are mounted in size 8.5Jx20 in front and in size 9.5Jx20 on the rear axle. Brabus recommends high-performance tires from Continental, Pirelli or Yokohams in sizes 235/30 ZR 20 on the front axle and 275/25 ZR 20 in back.

Suspension for the closest link with the road

There are also three suspension versions to choose from:

A conventional steel suspension comes as standard
A sports suspension with harder springs and dampers ensures a systematically sporty driving experience
As an alternative a Dynamic Handling package is available. Its merits include a suspension with continuous adjustable damping. It has an electronically controlled fully automatic damping system, so the vehicle rolls away gently even on poor road surfaces, but still offers high driving dynamics
Also included in the Dynamic Handling package are a Direct-Steer system and the Torque Vectoring Brakes developed by Mercedes-Benz. The Direct-Steer system offers more handling and agility than the standard steering, whilst also reducing the amount of physical effort required when parking. In critical conditions the Torque Vectoring Brakes produce a defined rotational movement of the vehicle about the vertical axis in fractions of seconds through selective brake actuation at the rear wheel on the inside of the bend. This results in the Mercedes-Benz SLK stabilising without any compromises where dynamism is concerned, and it steers into the bend precisely and under full control.

Those wishing to do so can extend the host of assistance systems in the new SLK even further:

The Intelligent Light System provides five lighting functions (cornering light function, country mode, motorway mode, active light function and enhanced fog lamps), which are activated depending on the driving conditions
The Speed Limit Assist is able to detect speed limit signs using a camera on the inside of the windscreen and indicate the respective detected speed limit on a display in the instrument cluster
The new Merceses SLK can be ordered from 17 January 2011. The prices including VAT are as follows:

SLK 200 BlueEFFICIENCY: 38,675 euros,
SLK 250 BlueEFFICIENCY: 44,256.10 euros,
SLK 350 BlueEFFICIENCY: 52,300.50 euros.

2011 Audi A1 clubsport quattro

2011 Audi A1 clubsport quattro

The placement of the multi-plate clutch at the rear axle provides for a harmonious distribution of the axle loads, and the chassis of the Audi A1 quattro has been adapted to the dynamics of the drivetrain. It is much more tautly tuned than that of the production model. The front suspension is a McPherson construction; a four-link axle is used at the rear. The sensitive and efficient electrohydraulic power steering has a sporty, direct 14.8:1 steering ratio.

The Audi A1 quattro rolls on 8.0 J x 18 cast alloy wheels. They are Glacier White, feature an exclusive turbine design and are fitted with 225/35-series tires. The internally vented front brake discs measure 312 millimeters (12.28 in) in diameter and are gripped by black calipers. The ESP stabilization program includes a sport mode and can be switched off entirely for a trip to the race track, for example.

Audi is crowning its successful A1 model series with an exclusive top-of-the-line model. The dynamic Audi A1 quattro, limited to just 333 units, moves to the head of the compact class. Its two-liter, turbocharged engine produces 188 kW (256 hp) and 350 Nm (258.15 lb-ft) of torque, which is delivered to all four wheels. The Audi A1 quattro sprints from zero to 100 km/h (62.14 mph) in 5.7 seconds and has a top speed of 245 km/h (152.24 mph).

The Audi A1 quattro is powered by the 2.0 TFSI engine. The 1,984 cc, four-cylinder engine combines gasoline direct injection with turbocharging in the classic Audi manner. Among its highlights are the adjustable intake cam shaft and the two balance shafts, which ensure smooth operation. Maximum torque of 350 Nm (258.15 lb-ft) is continuously available between 2,500 and 4,500 rpm, and peak power (188 kW/256 hp) is developed at 6,000 rpm.

The heart of the Audi A1 clubsport quattro is a classic Audi gasoline engine – a five-cylinder unit displacing 2.5 liters with turbocharging and direct fuel injection. Compared with the version used in the Audi TT RS and RS 3 Sportback on which it is based, the output of the TFSI has been increased dramatically to 370 kW (503 hp) and 660 Nm (486.79 lb-ft) of torque. Maximum power is available between 2,500 and 5,300 rpm.
